Cardiac and Vascular Consultants of Northern MI (CVCNM) is looking for a Cardiovascular Technician to support our Traverse City office.
This can be a full-time position working Monday to Friday, dayshift, no holidays or weekends OR part time status may be considered.
Position Summary :
Cardiac and Vascular Consultants of Northern MI (CVCNM) a network of highly specialized outpatient endovascular care facilities. All CVCNM employees are members of the same team, regardless of their primary work location. The Cardiovascular Technologist is a key member of the cardiovascular practice who helps provide an atmosphere of compassionate and quality care to patients and their families. This includes ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization and environmental health. The Cardiovascular Technologist will maintain a sterile field in the operating room, being constantly vigilant to see that proper aseptic techniques are used to prevent contamination and infection. The Cardiovascular Technologist will also assist the endovascular team as the sterile member who passes product, devices, etc. during procedures. Adheres to all policies related to PHI and HIPAA privacy practices.

Qualifications :
Minimum of Associates Degree in an allied health profession : PreferredCardiovascular Technologist Certification : PreferredCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS / CPR) : Within 90 days of hireCurrent Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) : PreferredMinimum one-year experience as a Cardiovascular Technologist : PreferredCardiovascular and / or peripheral vascular disease experience : PreferredCardiac catheterization lab experience : PreferredIn good physical and mental healthDetail oriented, thorough and exactSpecific Duties :
Assist healthcare providers with various endovascular proceduresAssists in giving quality patient care to ACV patients and in other areas as neededObserves universal precautions and utilizes sterile techniquesMaintain a clean and orderly procedure rooms, common areas and workspaceCheck procedure rooms daily and restock with supplies as neededParticipate in inventory maintenanceProvide continuity of care, professional communication with all team members in a fast-paced work environmentPrepares patients for procedure by washing, shaving, and disinfecting incision sites. Also transports, positions patients on a table, and covers them with sterile surgical drapesPrior to an operation, helps set up the procedure room and organizes sterile table with product, equipment, linens and solutions.Checks, adjusts, and operates equipment such as sterilizers, lights, suction machines, electrosurgical units, and diagnostic equipment.Anticipates the surgeon’s needs, passing product, and providing sterile items in an efficient mannerDetermines availability of necessary equipment and supplies for procedures. Obtains and inspects sterile or nonsterile equipment, instruments, and supplies.Provide support to research trial assessment and procedures.Responsible for maintaining advanced knowledge of cardiovascular procedures and principles related to those procedures.Other duties as assigned by leadership and supervisory staff
