Job description

Join our dynamic and skilled Nursing team in the Critical Care Float Pool! We invite you to become part of our compassionate environment at the Region's only Level I trauma center, where your contributions make a difference in the lives of patients and their families.

Position Overview :

  • Work Schedule : 36 hours per week, Day shift
  • Salary Range : $76,396.32 - $126,730.61
  • Hourly Pay : $36.73 - $60.93

As a Clinical Nurse, you will :

  • Implement physician orders, administer medications, and perform necessary treatments and procedures.
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patients' conditions.
  • Assess patient needs and respond effectively to care rendered.
  • Exercise sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.
  • Provide primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses.
  • Administer both over-the-counter and prescription medications as ordered.
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to establish comprehensive Plan of Care for all patients.
  • Guide auxiliary personnel and uphold professional nursing standards.

    • Qualifications :

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor's degree).
  • Must possess a valid NYS Registered Nurse license.
  • Maintain certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
  • 1-3 years clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care is required.
  • Strong communication, organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Knowledge of quality concepts and problem-solving principles, with the ability to apply them in patient care quality improvement.
