The Registered Nurse (RN) protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities.

The RN educates patients and families in health promotion and disease management using available resources.
The RN utilizes knowledge of pharmacology to safely administer medications.
The RN shares in the responsibility for productivity and effective resource utilization.
Compliance with nursing practice standards, regulatory requirements, and policies is essential.
The RN actively participates in and supports improvement initiatives and peer review practices.
Professional development and continuing nursing education are important.
The RN integrates nursing research and current evidence into practice.
A supportive learning environment for new employees and students is provided.
The RN is expected to follow all stated values.
Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Required Skills & Experience :
Nursing (RN) experience of six months to three years is required.
Management experience is not required but can be up to three years.
Five or more years of direct experience are preferred.
Key skills include collaboration, communication (verbal and written), judgment / critical thinking, and organizational understanding.
Strong planning and problem-solving abilities are essential.
Quality, reliability, and safety / risk management are important skills to possess.
Preferred Skills & Experience :
Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting is desirable.
Required Education :
A graduate of an accredited school of Nursing is required.
Preferred Education :
A Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing is preferred.
Required Certifications & Licensure :
Current RN License and BLS Certification are required.
Unit-specific requirements must be validated prior to candidate selection.
Preferred Certifications & Licensure :
Professional certification in a related nursing specialty is preferred.
Relevant skills certification (i.e., ACLS, PALS) may be required based on unit assignment.
