Site Materials Leader
The Site Materials Leader is a critical role responsible for managing and optimizing the delivery and flow of materials across multiple programs at the site. Rooted in GE Aerospace's core prioritiesSafety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC), this role ensures exceptional delivery, drives continuous improvement, and fosters strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders. The Site Materials Leader will leverage expertise in inventory and planning systems, demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, and collaborate across teams to ensure efficient operations while aligning customer-focused initiatives with organizational goals.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Subject matter expert in inventory and planning systems (CAS, WMS, ARAS, AOA, etc.) with responsibility for training, coaching, and developing Program Materials Leaders to ensure consistent practices and knowledge sharing.
- Lead connected flow calls across programs to drive alignment and efficiency.
- Monitor rate changes and ensure kanban loops are correctly sized for all programs.
- Participate in weekly CID Meetings across all programs to identify materials gaps and support needed.
- Serve as the Site Materials Council Focal, addressing materials-related concerns and initiatives.
- Facilitate and actively participate in Delivery, Program Production, and Materials calls to provide updates and maintain awareness of program-specific material challenges.
- Collaborate with the Site Logistics Leader to address Durham-related GXO and RXO concerns and lead truck coordination and prioritization across programs to ensure timely deliveries.
- Partner with Foreign Trade Zone Team to provide logistical support as required.
- Support data collection and analysis for Program and Site Daily Management Delivery Trackers to drive continuous improvement.
- Manage logistics and agendas for all supplier and customer visits for the facility, serving as the primary point of contact.
Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a material planning capacity.Minimum of 5 years of experience in materials planning or customer service operations role.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, teaming environment while managing multiple priorities.Desired Characteristics
