Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Med Surg Discipline : RN Start Date : 10 / 31 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, days, nights Employment Type : Travel Job Title : Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical (Med / Surg) Location : Sterling, IL Start Date : ASAP Contract Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : 12-Hour Variable Shifts (Nights until 11 / 17, then switch to Days if flexible) Guaranteed Hours : 36 Hours / Week Key Responsibilities : Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a Medical-Surgical unit. Monitor, assess, and record patient conditions, administering medications and treatments as prescribed. Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care. Utilize EPIC EMR for patient charting and documentation. Ensure adherence to safety protocols, infection control standards, and hospital policies. Support patients and their families through education and emotional care. Requirements : Education : Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois. Certifications : BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Required Experience : Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience in an acute care setting.
