Overview
Process Technician - Visual Inspection (Night Shift) role at Eli Lilly and Company .
Lilly is designing and building a new state of the art Parenteral, Device Assembly, and Packaging Facility in Raleigh-Durham North Carolina. This is an exciting opportunity to help build the facility of the future from the ground up. The successful candidate will support commissioning / qualification activities for inspection lines during the project phase and, after project completion, operate highly automated equipment for syringe inspection and perform manual inspection as needed. The role may require domestic travel, with potential for international travel depending on program needs.
Responsibilities
- During the project phase, provide commissioning, qualification, and operational readiness support for inspection lines using semi-automated and automated technology.
- Develop subject matter expertise for the inspection equipment / process with potential for advancement into leadership roles (e.g., Line Lead).
- Support site operations readiness and uphold safety, quality, and productivity standards on the manufacturing floor.
- After project completion, ensure safe operation of highly automated equipment used to inspect syringes and perform manual inspections.
- Model current Good Manufacturing Practices and ensure compliance with safety standards; assist the Line Lead in operator development and identifying operational improvements.
- Provide coaching and training support to shift operators; escalate issues on the shop floor as needed.
- Contribute to key departmental objectives, including improving safety performance, reducing deviations, and increasing productivity.
Basic Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalentMinimum 1-year relevant experience (education may be substituted for experience with manager discretion)2+ years relevant experience in pharmaceutical or other regulated industryAdditional Skills / Preferences
Ability to train and coach others; effective written and verbal communicationFlexibility, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of CGMPsScientific / technical degrees or certificationsExperience with semi-automated and automated visual inspection equipmentExperience with pre-filled syringe (PFS) technologyExperience with Manufacturing Execution Systems and electronic batch recordsKnowledge of lean manufacturing principlesAdditional Information
