JOB OVERVIEW

  • Job Title : Physician – Rheumatology
  • Job Type : Locum Tenens (Full-Time)
  • Location : Hanover, PA
  • Service Setting : Outpatient clinic with limited hospital consults
  • Coverage Type : Clinical + APP Supervision
  • Coverage Period : Starting January 2, 2026 – Ongoing
  • Clinical Shift Schedule : Monday–Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 4 : 30 PM
  • Coverage Details : 20 shifts / month (can be split between 2 providers, 10 each)
  • Reason for Coverage : Supplemental
  • Support Staff Available : 2 PAs (APPs) – supervision required; RN & MA support
  • EMR System : Epic

PATIENT INFORMATION

  • Patient Demographics : Adults only
  • Outpatient Volume : 12–16 per day (36 patient-facing hours / week)
  • Hospital Consults : 0–5 per month (phone consults during office hours)
  • Case Mix :

    • Rheumatoid Arthritis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Ankylosing Spondylitislupus, Scleroderma, Sjogren’s SyndromeGout, Osteoporosis, Vasculitis, Myopathies

    GCA, Temporal Arteritis, PMR, SarcoidosisReactive Arthritis, Raynaud’s Phenomenon, Wegener’s Granulomatosis, Polyarteritis Nodosa

    Positive ANA with systemic features (rash, joint swelling, pain, pleural effusion, pericarditis)

  • Procedures : Joint injections

    • PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

  • Hospital Privileges Required : Yes
  • Credentialing Timeline : ~90 days
  • Licensure : Active Pennsylvania medical license (IMLC accepted)
  • DEA : Required
  • Certifications : BLS
  • Board Status : BC / BE in Rheumatology
  • Experience : Minimum 1 year
  • Travel : Mileage, airfare, lodging, rental car
