Overview
Discovery Ranch is seeking a passionate and dedicated Music Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will teach instruments and music theory while coordinating the efforts of other musicians in the same endeavor. You will work in a unique therapeutic setting, providing traditional instruction to a diverse student body in a relationship-based residential treatment center focused on holistic development and evidence-based practices.
We are looking for an engaged and creative individual who can help students discover their musical talents and grow their love for music. In addition to teaching and coordinating your team, you will collaborate with other departments to ensure a comprehensive educational experience for our students. Responsibilities
- Teach and coordinate music instruction for students across multiple instruments and music theory.
- Coordinate and support other musicians involved in the program.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a comprehensive educational experience for students.
- Support students on their healing journey in a therapeutic setting.
Requirements
19+ years of ageAble to pass a criminal background checkAble to pass a motor vehicle record checkCurrent Utah driver’s license (within 30 days of employment)3–5 years of music experience1 year of music teaching experienceAble to play and teach one or more musical instrumentsPreferred qualifications
Working on a bachelor’s degree in music or music technology / engineering2+ years of music teaching experienceExperience with Logic Pro or Pro Tools, or music studio recording / engineeringBasic knowledge of a variety of musical instrumentsTeam coordination experienceBenefits
