We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) to perform Compensation and Pension (C&P) Examinations for Veterans and separating military members. This is a highly rewarding, investigative (non-treatment) role where you apply your clinical expertise to make a direct impact on disability award determinations. You will be based at a fixed, large office location, supporting a critical federal program.
Key Responsibilities (Chart-Based & Clinical)
- Comprehensive Assessments (DBQs / SHAs) : Conduct thorough physical evaluations and detailed, focused examinations for disability claims.
- Medical Chart Review : Perform a complete review of medical records on a cloud-based EHR to identify service-connected health issues.
- Diagnosis & Opinion : Diagnose and provide medical opinion decisions based on physical examinations and record review.
- Efficiency : Manage an average of 1 to 6 Veterans per day , ensuring accurate charts are submitted within 24 hours.
- Procedures : Order and interpret labs, diagnostics, and necessary ancillary services based on findings.
Required Qualifications
Licensure : Must hold an active NP license in a Full Practice State and possess more than 3,600 hours of qualifying NP practice experience.Skills : Strong clinical assessment skills combined with exceptional charting and documentation proficiency.Pay & Perks
