Senior Vice President - Director of Trust Services

SUMMARY
The Senior Vice President / Director of Trust Services is a senior officer and a member of the bank's senior management team. This individual provides vision, leadership and direct administration of the trust department, including fiduciary services and investment management. They oversee trust sales, administration and operations with the purpose of growing the trust department, and providing revenue base to the bank.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee all trust department and wealth management activities including, but not limited to, the following : sales, client relationship development and experience, operations, and compliance .
- Key participant in the development and leads in the execution of the department level strategic plan and the associated initiatives.
- Manage the department's expenses and business activities to meet or exceed budget.
- Serve as an active participant and member of the senior management committee.
- Supervise, mentor, and manage a team of trust officers, trust operations staff, and support personnel.
- Ensure fiduciary accounts are administered properly, in accordance with agreements and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Manage the investment process and coordinates investment decisions relating to fiduciary accounts.
- Manage a portfolio of client fiduciary relationships in accordance with account agreement and policies.
- As appropriate, participate in client introduction to all banking services offered, including commercial lending, deposit products, retirement plan services, and affiliated registered investment advisors.
- Interact with examiners and auditors relating to trust activities.
- Participate in volunteer and community activities to improve communities in which the bank's serves while increasing the bank's market presence.
- Comply will all bank policies, rules, and regulations.
- Perform other duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
College degree required with trust related advanced degree or certification and training preferred.Professional level of knowledge and experience in the trust and fiduciary activities with more than five years of experience.Supervisory and leadership experience preferred.Ability to work independently, manage projects, and collaborate with other organizational leaders.Possess strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to analyze complex problems and formulate appropriate action plans.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex and legal drafted documents.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex financial statements.
