Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Travel Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our rehabilitation team on a temporary assignment. The SLP will assess, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, voice, communication, and swallowing disorders. This role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact while exploring new clinical settings and locations.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in patients across the lifespan.Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and evidence-based practice.Provide therapy and interventions to improve communication and swallowing functions.Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational and physical therapists, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care.Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy goals, progress, and home exercise programs.Adhere to all facility, state, and federal regulations and maintain compliance with professional and ethical standards.Qualifications
Education : Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.License : Current and valid state license (or eligibility for licensure) as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the assignment state.Certification : Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology ( CCC-SLP ) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) required.Experience : Minimum of 1–2 years of recent experience in speech therapy (experience in schools, acute care, skilled nursing, or outpatient settings preferred).Travel experience preferred but not required.About American Consultants
