A Love Bug Doggy :

We are a retired couple and our dog Sparky is a medium sized adult rescue terrier mix. He was apparently abused in a past home and came to us 4 years ago with some fears, but he is much better now and generally obedient and happy. He absolutely adores any adults or children who will give him a little loving attention, and in this way he is pretty easy to walk and care for.

Special Care Request :

Sparky does not trust other dogs and should be kept away from them. And because of his fear of being punished or abandoned, we don't like to leave him home alone for more than 3 hours or so. So we are looking for a responsible dog-lover who has enough available time to stay with him in our home for several hours up to overnight occasionally when we're away, including short walk(s), feeding, playtime, without having to leave him by himself for too long. Any experience with dogs with abandonment anxiety would be ideal.

When :

We might need someone for most of a day as soon as the end of this June. Of course, we'd like for you and Sparky to meet each other first, and we'd answer any of your questions, before we made any sitting arrangements.
