Tekberry is looking for a highly qualified and motivated Equipment Maintenance Technician III to work on-site with our client, a global leader in data storage solutions. In this role, you will perform advanced troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance on cleanroom production equipment supporting HDD Pilot Line operations in San Jose and Irvine. As a W2 employee, you will have access to health benefits.
Responsibilities :
Conduct complex troubleshooting and root-cause repairs on high-precision manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime and ensure production continuity.
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance per PM specifications and applicable safety standards.
Provide technical solutions for recurring problems or equipment deficiencies, collaborating with engineering and production teams.
Thoroughly document maintenance activities, corrective actions, and repair outcomes in accordance with site quality procedures.
Apply sound judgment and analytical skills when working on routine, semi-routine, and complex assignments.
Continuously enhance skills through formal training, on-the-job experience, and collaboration with senior technical staff.
Support process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to increase equipment uptime and reliability.
Must-Have Qualifications :
Associate Degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5 7 years of recent experience in equipment support, troubleshooting, and repair in a manufacturing or R&D environment.
Certificate or formal training from a vocational or trade school in computer technology, hardware / software maintenance, or equivalent experience.
Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation .
Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and software-related equipment issues.
Strong English communication skills (verbal and written) and meticulous attention to documentation accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience working in a Hard Disk Drive (HDD) cleanroom environment or with HDD tooling / test equipment.
Skilled in electrical, mechanical, and software troubleshooting , with emphasis on software log analysis.
Technical understanding of Hard Disk Drives and related components .
Experience collaborating cross-functionally in a high-tech manufacturing setting.

Technical documentation and maintenance recordkeeping.
