Aero Instruments & Avionics, Inc. is a leader in the commercial aviation repair market, and we are seeking an Electronics Technician to join our growing team in Depew, NY.
An Electronics Technician is responsible for the repair of electronic instrumentation and aircraft components. In this position, you will be testing, troubleshooting, and repairing various avionics components in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications.
Responsibilities :
- Test, troubleshoot, and perform the service work required for maintenance of a variety of avionics components
- Utilize various types of specialized test equipment to diagnose issues with aircraft components
- Interpret schematics, drawings, manuals, and instructions to properly perform duties
- Adjust, repair, or replace malfunctioning components or assemblies, using hand tools or soldering irons
- Document and report repair work using company software
- Interact with engineering and quality personnel as required
Required Qualifications / Skills :
A.A.S. in Electronics or equivalent formal trainingElectronic / mechanical disassembly and reassembly experienceSoldering experienceExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPositive attitude and outstanding integrityStrong technical and analytical skillsPreferred Qualifications / Skills :
Strong mechanical aptitudeHigh-precision soldering experienceESD & IPC certificationAdditional Information :
