Position Summary:
The Evening Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the preschool facility. This position ensures classrooms, common areas, and restrooms are cleaned and prepared for the next school day.


Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize children’s bathrooms and staff restrooms
  
  
• Sweep, mop, and disinfect hallways and common areas
  
  
• Clean and maintain front lobby and entrance areas, including stairs
  
  
• Maintain cleanliness of classrooms, including floors, tables, and surfaces
  
  
• Empty trash and replace liners throughout the building
  
  
• Wipe and disinfect high-touch surfaces (doorknobs, light switches, railings, etc.)
  
  
• Vacuum carpets and rugs as needed
  
  
• Restock restroom supplies (paper towels, toilet paper, soap)
  
  
• Ensure cleaning supplies are used safely and stored properly
  
  
• Report maintenance or safety concerns to administration
  
  
• Assist with general cleaning tasks as assigned
  
  

Qualifications:

• Experience in janitorial or housekeeping work preferred
  
  
• Ability to work independently and follow cleaning procedures
  
  
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a sanitary environment
  
  
• Ability to lift up to 25–30 pounds
  
  
• Reliable and dependable with evening availability
  
  

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move throughout the building
  
  
• Ability to operate basic cleaning equipment (mop, vacuum, etc.)
