Registered Nurse (Nights) - Inpatient Mental Health

A health services network in New York is actively seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) for a great Night shift opportunity at one of their inpatient psychiatric facilities in Broome County.

About the Opportunity :

Shift : Nights

Schedule : 5 shifts per week

Hours : 11pm to 7 : 30am

Setting : Inpatient Mental Health

Responsibilities :

Assessing the patients' physical needs

Checking and transcribing the Physicians' orders in a timely fashion

Administering medication

Admit / discharge and transfer patients based on a Physician order

Assisting with procedures and physical exams

Conducting checks of treatment rooms for required equipment and ensuring its functionality

Recording appropriate progress notes and other data into the patients' medical records

Supervising non-professional nursing staff, including drawing blood, collecting vital signs, etc.

Performing other duties, as needed

Qualifications :

1+ year of Clinical experience

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

Active NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license

Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification

Desired Skills :

At least 1 year of experience in a Behavioral Health setting

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
