The Industrial Hygienist position requires Anticipation, Recognition, Evaluation, Prevention and Control of conditions which could result in illness, impaired health, or significant discomfort in the workplace. This is an onsite assignment through Trinity Consultants based at a pharmaceutical manufacturing client site. The contract assignment is anticipated to be six months in duration. Although not guaranteed, there is the possibility of extension. This position is benefits eligible. The job description is representative.
The IH will perform assignments independently, but in cooperation and alignment with the established procedures and objectives of the Industrial Hygienist and Team. The individual carries out assignments ranging from simple technician level tasks to moderately complex tasks in any area of the industrial hygiene program. Work is designed to maintain compliance, achieve best practice (where feasible), and provide continuous improvement in goals and objectives, while expanding the incumbent's training and experience in the various phases of the program. Most assignments are performed within the environment of facilities, laboratories, and / or manufacturing.
The individual at this level of experience may no longer need the guidance of a mentor.
Practical aspects of the job include, but are not limited to, execution of the following :
Establishment of Exposure Controls / Exposure Elimination for New and Existing Materials
Exposure Based Risk Assessments (Qualitative and Quantitative)
Purchase and Maintenance of Media and Industrial Hygiene Sampling Equipment (Calibration / Service)
Ability to perform research on equipment function and maintenance requirements as well as other IH related functions.
Exposure Sampling Method Determination, Execution, and Verification of the Accuracy and Validity of the Sampling and Analysis Results
Independent Execution of the Sampling Plan and Employee Initiated Requests for Sampling
