ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
A. DUTIES :
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty with minimum supervision. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and / or ability required. The duties and responsibilities regularly performed for this position are :
1. Purchase items for production and Company in compliance with customer specs and WAI's.
2. Review parts in inventory.
3. Meet and negotiate with suppliers
4. Locate sources for requested items.
5. Check Epicor frequently during the day for new repair parts order / purchase parts inputted by Bench Inspection, create spreadsheet of materials in need of repair and forward to Inventory Manager for release approval.
6. Create and release purchase / repair orders for materials that are in need of repair. Input return dates into the system. Update PO's & RO's as required to ensure efficient processing of material.
7. Parts are sent out to approved vendors. Vendors receive the parts and send Quotes for the needed repair / purchase.
8. Review vendor quotes for existing repair orders. Ensure timely completion to meet build dates.
9. Communicate with customer service regarding cost approval of repairs or items that need to be purchased new.
10. Once quotes are approved, communicate with the vendors, input the costs quoted into the system (Impresa). Store original quote with the repair order.
11. Process, review, and forward Unit Exchange (UE) paperwork offered by suppliers to Quality Assurance.
12. Fax / or email UE approvals to vendors on a daily basis.
13. Advise vendors of non-conforming material and request for warranty consideration.
14. Request corrected paperwork for parts with incorrect data from vendors.
15. Communicate with AP regarding any open orders issues, invoices and pricing issues.
16. Communicate with receiving / shipping inspection to complete the process of receiving / shipping orders.
17. Inform receiving inspection of priority parts needed.
18. Interact with hourly employees and Production Supervisors.
19. Print Purchasing reports and forms.
20. Input data into computer systems.
21. Update the engine status reports in a timely / accurately fashion.
22. Follow up on parts to be shipped, turn around times, parts progress, etc.
23. Be prepared and participate in the daily parts meetings.
24. Adhere to and promote Corporate Ethical Standards.
25. Cross train in other disciplines.
26. Punctual attendance. Willing and able to work weekends / overtime
The marginal duties and responsibilities (performed occasionally or at irregular intervals) for this position are :
Filing and clerical duties.
Other duties as assigned.
Personal protective equipment (PPE) required for this position is :
Eye, steel toed safety shoes and hearing protection as required in specific areas of the shop.
