About The Position

Job Title : CT Technologist

Certifications : BLS, Certified CT Technologist - ARRT (CT), Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R)

Must-Have : Experience working with trauma patients

Description :

The department has 4 GE scanners.

There are 2 in inpatient, 1 in outpatient, and 1 in the emergency department.

The outpatient location is connected to the facility.

The position does not require floating to other areas, only covering the specified 4 scanners.

Common imaging activities include conducting CT scans for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency cases.

The average number of scans performed daily includes 12-14 for outpatient, and 10 patients for procedures on one machine in-house.

The emergency department averages about 40 scans between all shifts.

The electronic medical record system in use is Epic.

Radiology staff will have resources available, including supervisors or lead technologists, during most hours.

Radiologists are in-house during the day and on-call after hours.

IV starting is preferred but not required for this position.

Holidays are required for scheduling in rotation.

Scrubs are provided for staff.

Department-specific orientation consists of 1 week, ensuring that new staff always have resources for assistance.

The hospital retains the right to cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment.

Charting is completed using Epic Systems Corporation - EpicCare Inpatient - EMR.

A BSN requirement is not applicable for this position.

This role is situated within an acute care setting.

Minimum trauma level experience is expected.
