Job Description

As a Security Professional - Front Desk Patrol in Melville, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more.

As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and employees, helping to create a welcoming and secure environment. Your responsibilities will include monitoring access, verifying credentials, and responding to security-related incidents as they arise. You will use your communication skills and attention to detail to provide exceptional customer service while supporting the security-related needs of the site. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering the premises.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, visitor logs, and incident reports as required.
  • Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, coordinating with Allied Universal management and local authorities as needed.
  • Communicate professionally with all individuals at the location, providing information and directions as necessary.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access and / or disruptive behavior by maintaining a visible presence at the front desk.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • A security-related guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
