Revenue Cycle Specialist Contract
- 5 month remote contract- Possible Temp to Perm or Extensions
- Full Time M-F
- East Coast Hours at $20 / hr
- Must have your own equipment (Laptop / Desktop, second monitor, headset / earbuds)
Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred or comparable equivalent and related experienceExcellent oral and written communication skills are required to communicate with colleagues, management, customers and insurance plan representativesPrevious experience in DME is requiredMedical Reimbursement knowledge is requiredAppropriate computer skills for the position (Microsoft Office Suite) and areas of influence, Brightree experience is requiredStrong work ethic and the desire to lead by example, with attention to detail and quality, is requiredAbility to deal directly with staff on policy or performance related issuesJob Responsibilities, included but not limited to :
Ensure timely and accurate submission of claims and collections for the assigned areaEnsure compliance with internal policies and procedures and well as external policies from state, federal sources and commercial payer guidelinesMaintain and update shared documentation to assist Customer Service with the various policies rules and limitations for insurance plans. Communicate changes regularly or as neededUnderstand and communicate changes in payor guidelines and policies and be able to evaluate the effect of such changesAnalyze and interpret healthcare revenue cycle data to identify trends and areas for improvementDevelop and implement strategies to optimize revenue cycle performance and increase revenueCollaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve revenue cycle issuesMonitor and report on key performance indicators related to revenue cycle managementStay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices related to revenue cycle managementComplete administrative related tasks as necessary
