About This Job
The Office of State Parks (OSP) serves the citizens of Louisiana and visitors by preserving and interpreting natural areas of unique or exceptional scenic value, planning, developing and operating sites that provide outdoor recreation opportunities in natural surroundings, preserving and interpreting historical and scientific sites of statewide importance and administering intergovernmental programs related to outdoor recreation and trails.
The purpose of this position is to primarily perform custodial duties to help maintain cleanliness and a safe environment for the customers. This includes all facilities and grounds. This position will also assist with general maintenance such as removing garbage from campgrounds, sweep, mop, and disinfect facilities, etc. as needed.
Minimum Qualifications : No experience or training required.

Appointment Type : Probational; Current classified permanent status employees may be required to accept a probational appointment if offered the position.
Work Schedule : Full-time; May be required to work overtime.
Location : This position is located at Chemin-A-Haut State Park in Bastrop, LA. Career Progression : This position may be filled as a Park Technician A, B, or C based on the qualifications of the applicant selected.
