Global Trade Principal Specialist

This is a key position that sets the foundation for the export and import of the company's products and technical information.
Global Trade (GT) requirements exist to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations pertaining to economic sanctions and the export and import of products, services and technical data. The GT team is an integral part of the business to support them in delivering to our customers. We are currently looking for a GT Specialist to help us with that effort.
The Global Trade Principal Specialist is a Global Trade professional that has the ability to work autonomously with limited oversight on larger, moderately complex projects / assignments. Sets objectives for own area of responsibility to meet the objectives or goals of projects and assignments. The GT Principal Specialist has advanced knowledge within a GT organization and works to achieve day-to-day objectives with major impact within GT. The Global Trade Principal Specialist influences, trains and guides others regarding policies, practices and can support moderate changes to procedures, and support in the development and management of a comprehensive internal export and import controls to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies in the conduct of international marketing, sales, supply chain and other business activities. Supports business processes for submitting to and obtaining from the US government all necessary export and import licenses, permits, certifications and technology release determinations. Supports the maintenance of applicable trade compliance records in accordance with regulatory requirements. Includes (non-engineering) technical experts who support law department in investigating and resolving compliance problems, questions or complaints. Supports the establishments and maintenance of training and audit / assessment programs to ensure implementation and effectiveness of internal controls.
