Job Summary

Responsible for services related to dietary, transportation, materials management, and guest relations. Performs a wide variety of patient care and environmental functions on the patient care unit. Participates in team activities and quality improvement programs. Ensures that quality services are provided in an efficient and safe manner, consistent with the unit's standards of care. Demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, philosophy, and goals of the unit and organization; remains flexible to changing systems; is expected to demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work habits and practice; and treats staff, physicians, patients, and families with consideration and respect.

Minimum Qualifications

Education : High School Graduate

Licensure / Registration / Certification : BLS credentialing

Work Experience : Recent experience as a nurse aide, phlebotomist, or EKG technician preferred

Working Conditions

Manual : significant manual skills / motor coord & finger dexterity

Occupational : Significant occupational risk

Physical Effort : Very heavy effort. May exert up to 50 lbs. force

Physical Environment : Significant exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.
