About The Position

Job Title : Inpatient Pharmacist

Experience : Minimum 3 years of acute care experience

License : Valid state license

Certifications : PharmD or RPh preferred

Must-Have :

• Strong acute care experience
• Epic experience

Description :

The inpatient pharmacist plays a vital role in patient care.

Candidates must have strong acute care experience.

Recent experience in retail pharmacy is not acceptable.

Epic experience is required for this position.

Licensure as a pharmacist in good professional standing is necessary.

A PharmD degree or a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy is required.

Acute care experience within the last three years is a must.

Pharmacy residency from an accredited institution is preferred.

Experience with intravenous medication and pharmacotherapy management is essential.

Candidates should be comfortable working in a computerized hospital pharmacy setting.

The role requires the ability to work independently.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are critical.

Familiarity with systems such as Pyxis and Carousel is preferred.

Weekend and holiday rotations are part of the schedule.

Candidates will not be on-call.

The average census for the facility is approximately 330-360 patients.

This position involves working predominantly on day shifts.

The ability to manage complex medication regimens is necessary.

Clinical dosing and therapeutic monitoring skills are required.

The pharmacist will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
