Litigation Attorney - Insurance Defense Focus
A well-established litigation firm is seeking a mid-level attorney with 4-7 years of experience to join its team. This role is ideal for a motivated litigator with a strong foundation in insurance defense and civil litigation, who thrives in a collaborative, client-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Represent insurers, corporations, and individuals in insurance defense and civil litigation matters.
- Conduct and defend depositions with confidence and professionalism.
- Draft and argue motions, including dispositive and procedural motions.
- Perform thorough legal research and prepare clear, persuasive legal memoranda.
- Draft detailed reports to insurers and clients outlining case strategy, status, and recommendations.
- Attend court hearings and argue motions as needed.
- Collaborate with claims professionals and clients to develop strategic litigation approaches.
- Participate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
Qualifications :
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Active license to practice law in Minnesota.4-7 years of litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense or civil litigation.Demonstrated excellence in legal writing and oral advocacy.Proven ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently.Strong interpersonal skills and a client-service mindset.Preferred Experience :
Background in workers' compensation, municipal liability, or professional liability defense.Familiarity with construction litigation, employment law, or coverage disputes.Experience working directly with insurers and claims administrators.Trial experience is a plus but not required.Compensation & Benefits :
