Job Title

Library Circulation Student Assistant - Monday, Wednesday 6pm-midnight shift

Position Summary

This position is required to work :

Monday and Wednesday 6 pm till midnight

Provide clerical and receptionist support for the West library.
Provide outstanding customer service.
Process incoming and outgoing materials.
Provide basic computer and copier assistance.
Shelving of books and materials.
Inventory books and materials to maintain good order of the stacks.
Cleaning throughout the library.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Must be detail-oriented and be able to follow verbal and written instructions.

Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Must be proactive and able to engage with a diverse constituency.

Demonstrate decision-making and problem-solving skills.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Education, Certifications and / or Licenses

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required

Some college preferred

Experience

Computer experience

Experience in a higher education setting preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Knowledge of Microsoft Office

Knowledge of standard office practices and procedures, including filing
