Join our team as a Quality Tech 3 and be a key player in driving product excellence! You'll solve quality issues, calibrate test equipment, develop inspection plans, and train junior technicians. In this role, you'll also support audits, analyze quality data, generate reports, and apply statistical methods to improve processes.

What You Will Do

  • Inspection Planning :

Develop and maintain inspection plans, storyboards, and data collection forms.

  • Support sampling plan selection based on control plans and engineering changes.
  • Nonconformance Management :

    • Identify, document, and segregate nonconforming materials per procedure.

  • Assist in material disposition, issuing CARs, and initiating supplier returns.
  • Product Inspection :

    • Perform inspections using visual checks, gauges, and test equipment.

  • Maintain accurate records and access latest control documents via internal databases.
  • Analyze inspection data to recommend sampling plan improvements.
  • Quality Improvement :

    • Communicate quality issues clearly and compile data for quality reports.

  • Lead and contribute to quality improvement initiatives and teams.
  • Data Analysis :

    • Apply basic statistical methods for process control and generate key reports (e.g., first article, capability studies).

  • Training & Documentation :

    • Train inspectors and junior technicians; help develop and update training materials and documentation.

  • Auditing :

    • Conduct product and process audits using test equipment and documented procedures.

  • Assist with internal system audits and maintain detailed audit records.
  • Calibration :

    • Perform equipment calibration and coordinate with external providers.

    What You Will Bring

  • Education : Highschool diploma.
  • Certification : ASQ CQT required.
  • Experience : 5-7 years of quality experience.
  • CMM Operation : Ability to use the machine to measure parts against specifications, ensuring accuracy in production.
  • Quality Inspection & Auditin g : Experience performing visual inspections, using gauges and measurement tools, and completing process audits to maintain product quality.
  • Blueprint Reading & GD&T Interpretation : Understanding of engineering drawings and ability to identify critical dimensions and tolerances during inspection.
  • Metrology Tool Proficiency : Experience using micrometers, height gauges, calipers, and other measurement instruments to verify part dimensions.

    • Compensation : The expected base pay range for this role is $26 - $32 an hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
