Emergency Medical Technician Specialist

JOB SUMMARY : Join our dedicated team of professionals as an Emergency Medical Technician Specialist, providing exceptional pre-hospital basic life support care and transportation for sick and injured individuals. EQUIPMENT : You will utilize essential medical tools including ambulances, stretchers, spinal immobilization equipment, communication devices, and other necessary life support equipment to ensure efficient patient care.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Your key responsibilities will include :

• Conducting thorough examinations of patients to assess their condition.
• Providing timely and effective basic life support care within certification limits.
• Safely transporting patients to medical facilities while ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Documenting patient information and care provided on EMS run reports.
• Maintaining equipment and inventory to guarantee readiness for service.
• Driving ambulances safely in various conditions, following all operational guidelines.
• Participating in mandatory training and team meetings regularly.
• Completing station and ambulance maintenance duties as assigned.

Additionally, you may be required to assist in training EMT-Basic students and new employees, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS : This role involves significant physical activity, including lifting and transporting patients and working in diverse environments. You should be prepared for various physical demands, including :

WORK ENVIRONMENT : Be ready to work in challenging environments, such as emergency scenes and outdoor settings, sometimes dealing with hazardous materials or extreme weather conditions.

QUALIFICATIONS : To succeed in this role, you should have a High School Diploma or GED, current EMT certification, and CPR certification. A valid driver's license is also required.
