Locum Tenens General / Trauma Surgeon Opportunity in West Virginia

Embark on a fulfilling Locum Tenens opportunity for a General / Trauma Surgeon near Lindside, WV, starting on January 16, 2024, and concluding on January 22, 2024. This long-term assignment in a Level 3 Hospital offers a chance to contribute to the provision of critical surgical care.

Practice Details :

Open Dates : January 16, 2024, 7 a.m., through January 22, 2024, 7 a.m.

Level 3 Hospital : A vital healthcare facility in the region

Preferred License : West Virginia or IMLC (Interstate Medical Licensure Compact) ready

Surgery Specialty : General Surgery with a focus on Trauma

Schedule : Hospital only, 7-10 days per month

Call : As needed, both nights and weekends

Support Staff : Hospital and OR support available for a collaborative environment

Patient Age Group : Primarily adults

Inpatient Focus : Full inpatient care, no outpatient clinic responsibilities

Charting / EMR : Utilizing MediTech for efficient documentation

Board Certification : Either Board Certified or Board Eligible, with preference for BC

Fellowship : Not required, but considered if applicable

Reason for Need : Existing provider departure

Credentialing Timeframe : ASAP, with temporary privileges available

Logistics and Support :

Travel and Lodging : Yes, with flexibility

Schedule to be Filled : January 16-22, 2024

Rounding : Solely on the provider's patients

Admissions : Handled by ER or hospitalists, ensuring focused surgical care
