Job Title : Registered Nurse – School Nurse

Location : Federal Way, WA

Hours : 8 : 00 AM – 4 : 00 PM

Contract Length : 40 weeks (school year)

Responsibilities (School Nurse RN)

Provide daily nursing care, first aid, and health assessments for students and staff.

Administer prescribed medications and maintain accurate documentation.

Manage and monitor chronic health conditions (e.g., diabetes, asthma, seizures).

Respond to emergencies and coordinate care with parents, healthcare providers, and school staff.

Conduct health screenings, maintain immunization compliance, and follow public health guidelines.

Educate students, parents, and staff on wellness, safety, and disease prevention.

Support individualized education programs (IEPs) and 504 plans for students with medical needs.

Requirements

Active Washington State RN license.

BLS certification required.

Minimum of 1–2 years RN experience (school nurse or pediatrics preferred).
