$480 to $500 per hour

About The Position

Gastroenterology Locums Physician - North Carolina

Join a hospital-employed GI team in North Carolina, near Asheville Regional Airport (AVL), for a high-acuity assignment with block scheduling and full procedural support.

Highlights :

  • 1-2 weeks per month - you pick the blocks
  • Full procedural autonomy with RN / MA support
  • Mix of inpatient and outpatient coverage

Practice Setting :

  • Work alongside a dedicated GI team - no APP supervision
  • Hospital-employed RN and MA staff on site
  • Assigned and unassigned patient rounds
  • Schedule :

  • Scheduled clinical hours plus 24-hour beeper call
  • 30-minute call response time
  • 3 admissions, 3+ phone consults per shift
  • Block scheduling available for flexibility
  • Cases and Procedures :

  • Bread-and-butter GI with advanced procedures
  • Required : ERCP, EUS, PEG, liver biopsy
  • Full upper / lower endoscopy, variceal injection, polyp excision
  • High procedural volume in well-equipped facility
  • Requirements :

  • Board Certified in Gastroenterology
  • Active North Carolina license
  • BLS required
  • Travel Accommodations :
