Engineering Technician – Level 1
Milwaukee, WI (Onsite)
6-Month Contract
We are seeking an Engineering Technician to support development lab operations for low voltage motor control centers. This role is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on technical skills who enjoys problem-solving, working with tools, and collaborating across engineering teams.
What You’ll Do :
- Assemble and modify low voltage motor control centers per engineering specifications for short circuit, arc fault, and thermal testing.
- Maintain test documentation and prepare reports.
- Work closely with local and global engineering teams to complete projects on time.
- Initiate, track, and close out work orders.
- Interpret blueprints and schematics to guide assembly and testing.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, cranes, hoists, and other material handling equipment.
- Collect test data and assist with parts ordering, inventory, and lab organization.
- Maintain lab equipment, calibration schedules, and coordinate with EHS on safety compliance.
What We’re Looking For :
Familiarity with power distribution equipment.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.Strong hands-on mechanical skills with tools and equipment.Ability to adapt and work in a dynamic environment.Technical school training or equivalent experience (1 year).
