About the Role

The Company is in search of a visionary and hands-on Head of QA to spearhead the design, scaling, and leadership of its quality assurance strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full ownership of product quality, establishing the necessary frameworks, processes, and culture to ensure the delivery of high-quality products with speed and precision. This role is pivotal in driving the AI-driven QA transformation, architecting automation, and implementing best practices to build a world-class QA function. The Head of QA will also be a strategic partner to product and engineering leaders, providing quality advocacy and ensuring that quality is a top priority at every stage of development.

Applicants for the Head of QA position at the company should have a BS in Computer Science or Engineering, with a strong preference for this educational background. A minimum of 8 years of progressive QA experience in SaaS / eCommerce platforms, including at least 3 years in a formal leadership role, is required. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing and executing QA strategies for scalable, resilient SaaS APIs, distributed systems, and cloud-native architectures. Experience in startup environments, particularly with US-based and offshore / EU QA teams, is essential. The role demands expertise in modern application testing, including React, JS, and Node / Nest.js, as well as hands-on experience with Playwright, JavaScript / TypeScript, API testing (REST, GraphQL), and database testing (SQL and NoSQL). A background in cloud technologies, particularly AWS, and experience in performance testing and optimization are also necessary. The Head of QA should be adept at leading teams through change, innovation, and scaling QA functions, and have a keen interest in AI-led QA.
