Rotating call 1 : 8-10 days including weekends / holidays

About the Position :

The Orthopedic Surgery Department at Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL, is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider. The department is a well-established and expert team that offers comprehensive care for a variety of musculoskeletal conditions.

The ideal candidate will have a background in orthopedic medicine, a strong commitment to clinical excellence and patient satisfaction, and a proven track record of clinical experience.

Key Responsibilities & Skills :

The role requires exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build strong relationships with the community and medical staff. The provider must be able to work collaboratively with orthopedic physicians and support staff to deliver high-quality patient care.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Applicants with previous Advanced Practice Provider experience in Orthopedic Surgery is preferred. Relevant RN experience may be considered.
• Required Master's Degree
• Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
• Physician Assistant Certified (PA-C) - Required; or Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Nationally Recognized Certification – Required
• APRN Candidates will require Acute Care Certification and First Assistant Certification

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is a licensed physician assistant (PA) or advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) who functions as a member of the health care team to provide high quality, comprehensive acute and / or routine medical / surgical care of Rush patients within the scope of practice granted in accordance with the Rush University Medical Center medical staff bylaws. The APP will promote collaboration between multiple disciplines to ensure cost effective and quality patient care. The individual who holds this position will exemplify the Rush mission, vision and values and act in accordance with the policies, procedures, guidelines of Rush, including the Rush Medical Group Customer Service standards.

Successful candidates will also meet all other state and federal regulatory practice and accreditation standards. Rush has over 400 APPs across the enterprise that provide comprehensive patient care each day autonomously and in collaboration with other members of the health care team. With a Director of Advanced Practice and 34 Lead APPs across the system, Rush’s vision is to have every APP practicing at full scope and top of license. Position Requirements : Nurse Practitioner :

Master of Science in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing practice with clinical specialty appropriate to position

Current certification by American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioner (AANP)

Physician Assistant :

Rush offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range shown reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, specialty; relevant experience and training; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range is for a full-time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role. Additional compensation may include premium pay rates, sign-on bonuses, and relocation allowances. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.

Pay Range : $106,870 - $168,293
