Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Real Estate Paralegal with 5–10 years of experience in both commercial and residential real estate transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background gained from working in a law firm or title insurance company and will be comfortable handling all aspects of transactional work. This is a full-time, on-site position based in New York City, offering the opportunity to work in a collaborative and professional environment with an outstanding compensation package.
Key Responsibilities
- Support attorneys in all stages of commercial and residential real estate transactions, from contract to closing.
- Review, draft, and prepare closing documents, contracts, leases, financing documents, and title commitments.
- Conduct title and survey reviews, identify issues, and coordinate resolution with attorneys, clients, and title companies.
- Manage due diligence processes, including preparation and organization of checklists, critical dates, and closing binders.
- Coordinate and facilitate closings, ensuring accuracy of all documentation and compliance with deadlines.
- Maintain communication with clients, lenders, brokers, and other stakeholders throughout the transaction process.
- Prepare and file UCC financing statements and related documents.
- Conduct legal research related to real estate law, zoning, and property matters as needed.
- Manage and maintain case files, ensuring organization and timely updates.
Qualifications
5–10 years of experience in real estate transactional work (commercial and residential).Background from a law firm or title insurance company required.Strong understanding of New York real estate laws, regulations, and practices.Proficiency in title and survey review, due diligence, and closing procedures.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple transactions simultaneously.Flexible, professional, and a strong team player.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with real estate management software a plus.Compensation & Benefits
