Custodian Position at UW Recreation
UW Recreation has an outstanding opportunity for a Custodian to join their team. UW Recreation is a department within the Division of Student Life. We provide safe, accessible, and dynamic recreation experiences to engage students in growth and wellbeing. UW Recreation serves over one million students, faculty, and staff each academic year through informal and formal recreation, including fitness and sports classes, intramural and club sports, outdoor education, mindfulness programs, and more.

Summary : UW Recreation is looking to hire a custodian to perform a variety of custodial tasks to maintain clean, sanitary, and safe conditions in and around UW Recreation facilities. This position reports to the Assistant Director for Facilities and will work under the direction of the Lead Custodian. The work schedule may vary but coverage is needed Wednesday-Sunday 9 : 30pm-6am.

Minimum Qualifications : Physical ability to do the required work. Equivalent education and / or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and / or registration.
Desired Qualifications : One year of experience as a Custodian or housekeeper. Equivalent experience may substitute. Ability to understand and produce written and verbal instructions in English. Ability to effectively interact and communicate in a variety of situations. Work independently with minimal supervision. Detail oriented. Dedication to a high level of customer satisfaction.
