Decorate small cakes every day for the residents' birthdays. Prepare birthday cakes each month for all areas. Prepare grocery orders for resident orders for pies, cookies, cakes, etc. Make and set up what is ordered for special functions. Make and set up whatever is needed for the monthly brunch, including sticky buns, pastries, Danish and waffles. Plate desserts for each area daily. Make purees and mechanical desserts and fruits for all areas. Organize and create desserts for 5 bake sales a year. Create menu, prep, prepare, and plate one Chef's dinner a year. Make diet desserts every day. Cut fruit every day. Make different muffins and cookies for snacks. Make smoothies every other day for Cedarwood. Complete paperwork for the production book. Make a list of what is needed and give to the executive chef twice a week. Performs other duties as assigned. High School education or equivalent preferred. Prior baking experience in food service desired. Must be a minimum of 18 years of age. Frederick Living, part of Garden Spot Communities, is located in Zieglerville, PA (Montgomery County). We are a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) offering a full spectrum of care from retirement living, personal care, licensed healthcare, rehabilitation services, respite to memory care services.
Job Title : Baker
Status : Part Time Days, 20-24 hours per week
Shifts Hiring For : 6am - 2 : 30pm including every other weekend / holidays
Hourly Rate : Experience based pay starting at $17 / hr (Based on experience)
