To support our substantial growth, we are looking for a
Sales & Marketing Support Specialist
to integrate and support our Commercial Operations and Sales Teams. Preferred locations are Calgary, Canada or Houston, Texas.
Position summary
The Sales Support Specialist will support our sales and commercial team by performing market research and analysis, preparing reports and briefing packages, developing highly targeted sales content, and supporting the maintenance of our Customer Relationship Management System.
Your main responsibilities include
Leverage public information and third-party subscriptions to perform research and analysis, turning data into actionable information for the sales team.
Prepare reports, briefing packages, and memos on a variety of themes that include actionable insights for the sales organization.
Support the sales organization through preparation of highly targeted content such as key messaging, scripts, presentation materials, case studies, and other communication tools and materials to enable professional and effective client interface.
Generate sales and business development performance analytics through reporting to align results against key performance indicators. Develop and deliver periodic status reports that convey sales strategy implementation progress together with information related to supporting communication campaigns.
Routinely audit the CRM system, support the sales team in cleansing and maintaining data to the highest standards. Develop and run reports within the CRM system. Serve as a subject matter expert, providing technical support to the sales team. Perform periodic data cleansing exercises and collaborate with other functional areas to align Customer information across systems.
Support the sales and business development teams tracking for their strategic plan implementations.
Support tender activities including writing and compiling responses.
Support sales in the preparation and execution of regional conferences and trade events, lead the event coordination and logistics processes as needed.
Support the drafting and review of commercial proposals.
Attend sales and operations meetings as required.
Support process improvement activities and initiatives.
Support cross-functional projects with sales and commercial support and analytical expertise.
Continuously learn and adapt to evolving working and business environments.
Performance indicators : Timely and accurate delivery of recurrent reports; On-time delivery of assigned sales and commercial supporting activities.
What you bring to the team
A minimum of 5 years relevant work experience, preferably with exposure to the energy or oil & gas industries.
Bachelors or technical degree highly preferred.
A strong desire to learn, develop new skills, grow and collaborate with a customer-focused team and organization.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Spanish and / or Portuguese is a plus.
Strong organization and time management skills. Deadline focused and ability to manage a number of work priorities and deliver under time constraints.
Strong attention to detail and follow-up required.
Creative and solutions-oriented approach and collaboration style.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
Process oriented, methodical, and strong analytical skillset.
Advanced competency with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other applications such as Adobe Acrobat. Adobe creative suite is a plus.
Systems savvy, familiarity with using research tools and databases, CRM user / administrator experience.
Strong ability to communicate effectively and in a constructive manner with managers and peers, including the ability to effectively manage expectations across all levels of team members.
Experience working in a multi-cultural, performance driven, global team.
Ability to travel locally and internationally as needed (~20% or less).
Available to work at least 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday in a hybrid work environment.
Hands-on experience completing most of the roles activities described above.
