Job Title : Data Entry Clerk

Location : Newark, CA

Department : Planning

Reports To : Planning Manager

Job Overview : The Data Entry Clerk ensures accurate entry, maintenance, and verification of data within the Oracle system, supporting Planning, Program Management, Production, and Shipping operations. This role helps maintain seamless data flow across departments to guarantee reliable customer order and shipment visibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter and release Sales Orders (SO) in Oracle to support production and customer fulfillment.
  • Generate and release Pick Slips in Oracle for Shipping; coordinate shipment updates.
  • Accurately update order status, quantities, and related transaction data.
  • Maintain system accuracy for Work Orders (WO), shortages, and completion status in support of the Planning team.
  • Collaborate with Program Managers (PMs) to ensure order visibility and on-time delivery.
  • Coordinate with Warehouse, Shipping, and Production teams to validate data prior to entry or reporting.
  • Maintain organized records for audit and reporting purposes.
  • Assist in generating Oracle reports and dashboards for Planning and PM review.

Perform other administrative or data-related tasks as assigned by the Planning Manager.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree or vocational training preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience in data entry, production control, or administrative support within a manufacturing or EMS environment.
  • Experience with Oracle ERP is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Gmail / Outlook.
  • Excellent coordination and communication across departments (Planning, PM, Warehouse, Shipping).
  • Able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
