JOB SUMMARY

UT Southwestern is actively seeking an Assistant Director of Veterinary Care for our Animal Resource Center team. As an Assistant Director, you will work under minimal supervision to assist the Director in operation of the veterinary care program at UT Southwestern; includes leading and mentoring animal care staff, ensure facilities are maintained, consult with researchers on protocols and humane care, provide technical support and training, and may contribute to administrative duties and instruction. This role requires a DVM degree and expertise in laboratory animal medicine, facility management, and regulatory compliance.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Required

DVM or VMD degree from Accredited Veterinarian Medical Association school and

Completion of two (2) or three (3) year postdoctoral training program in laboratory animal medicine

5 years related veterinary experience

Current license to practice veterinary medicine in the United States and

(ACLAM) AM COL LAB ANIMAL MED DIPLOMA
