Texas Speech Language Pathologist License Required and 2 years of experience in pediatrics.   Supervision of SLPAs and CFs may be required.

Position Details / Schedule :  Position will be salaried, 75 / 25 clinical care and leadership, 40 hrs / wk, scheduling will be flexible.  Desire to mentor less experienced clinicians, promote clinical growth and focus on patient outcomes.

Salary Range Clinical Lead : $72,000- $85,000 per year plus bonus potential of $2,600+ per year.  Optional sign on bonuses, relocation bonuses and / or student loan forgiveness at some locations.

The Speech Language Pathologist – Clinical Lead (CL) provides comprehensive diagnostic services to patients referred for a possible speech, language, hearing, and / or swallowing disorder.  With physician referral and approval, treatment plans are implemented to address communication barriers and enable each individual to reach his or her maximum level of independence.  In addition to patient services the CL will assist with the planning, organization, supervision, and implementation of speech services as well as cross discipline support for physical therapy and occupational therapy staff. CL should anticipate 10-20% of blocked leadership time on their schedule per week. This will vary based on clinic size, number of other CLs at site, site leadership presence, and individual responsibilities.

The Clinical Leader also participates with office administration to coordinate therapy services at Cole Pediatric Therapy.

Qualifications :

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited Speech program holding a Master’s degree.
  • Successful completion of the Clinical Fellowship Year plus at least one year experience as a CCC-SLP
  • Current Texas license to practice Speech Language Pathology by the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology
  • Must have interpersonal and verbal communication skills necessary to communicate effectively with pediatric patients and families.  The CL must also be able to provide rationale regarding treatment to patients, families, physicians, and other related clinical professionals in order to gather and exchange patient information.
  • Must be competent to treat pediatrics and adolescents
  • Must have CPR certification for all ages
  • Computer skills-Microsoft Word preferred
