Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Social Worker position is available for the uping school year, serving Kindergarten through 5th-grade students at an elementary school in Des Plaines, IL. This contract role runs from August 14, 2025, through May 28, 2026, with onsite duties Monday through Friday. The workday is approximately 7 hours and 20 minutes, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch, typically from 8 : 45 AM to 4 : 05 PM.

In this role, you will support three self-contained Social Emotional Support (SES) classrooms that serve 16 students facing emotional and behavioral challenges. You will collaborate closely with another full-time social worker dedicated to the program to provide prehensive support tailored to each student's needs. Experience working with emotional and behavioral challenges is preferred.

Qualifications :

  • Professional Educator License (PEL) with a specialization in Social Work
  • Experience supporting students with emotional and behavioral needs
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized intervention plans
  • Strong munication and collaboration skills to work effectively with staff and families

Responsibilities include :

  • Assessing student needs and providing social-emotional support to enhance academic success
  • Collaborating with teachers, staff, and families to create supportive environments
  • Documenting case notes and progress reports in pliance with school policies
  • Participating in staff meetings and professional development sessions as required (note : Wednesday morning PD time is optional)
