Job Summary
The Clinic Patient Care Technician (CPCT) is responsible for providing direct and indirect care for patients presenting for preventative services, specialty services, urgent or emergent issues, and potential health problems. Care will be provided under the supervision of the practice physician and / or advanced practice provider. Care will be provided based on the scope of training and in accordance with documented competencies. Services provided by the CPCT may include, but are not limited to, general patient rooming, assistance with procedures, and documentation of activities. The CPCT will provide such care utilizing established principles and ethical standards as well as policies and procedures established by Lawrence County Memorial Hospital.

Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in healthcare is preferred but not required
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
CPR provider certification is preferred but not required. Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret references, technical procedures / protocols, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and other forms of correspondence. Ability to effectively present verbal and / or written information and respond to questions. Mathematical Skills Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, percentages and proportions. Reasoning Ability Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Computer Skills Requires computer and systems competence in the following areas enters data; retrieves data; assembles and organizes data, uses and analyzes data, integrates diverse sources of data. The ability to learn and use the electronic health record system provided within a reasonable amount of time, as designated by the Practice Manager. Other skills, abilities or knowledge Ability to communicate clearly. Must be able to respect the need for confidentiality in dealing with sensitive information.

All employees are required to be compliant with hand hygiene guidelines as well as to adhere to safe practices, identify and report unsafe practices.
