The Quality Manager is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and improving the site’s Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with customer requirements and relevant certifications (e.g., ISO 9001, ASTM). This position ensures that all products shipped from the facility meet established quality standards and industry expectations.

The Quality Manager plays a key leadership role in driving quality culture across all departments, identifying and resolving process gaps, and influencing teams to deliver continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a data-driven mindset, and the ability to lead by example to achieve excellence in product quality and customer satisfaction.

Job Details

Develop and track site-level KPIs aligned with corporate goals to drive ongoing improvements.

Own and manage the Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with internal procedures, customer expectations, and applicable standards.

Conduct internal audits to verify QMS effectiveness and implement corrective actions for any non-conformances.

Participate in internal audit programs across other facilities as required.

Develop and maintain quality control plans, inspection systems, and procedures to ensure specifications and material requirements are met.

Identify, document, and eliminate internal non-conformances in alignment with corporate expectations.

Manage customer complaints, ensuring timely resolution and root cause elimination.

Track metrics to identify trends and implement corrective actions.

Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure quality processes are understood and executed consistently throughout the organization.

Analyze data, identify trends, and recommend improvements to achieve KPI targets.

Troubleshoot quality issues, provide technical support, and facilitate corrective and preventive actions.

Support Continuous Improvement and Kaizen initiatives from a quality perspective, including developing project charters and calculating performance impacts.

Partner with procurement to monitor supplier performance and conduct supplier quality audits as needed.

Lead and develop the site’s quality team, while influencing others to prioritize and maintain quality standards.

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred.

Proven experience managing and auditing an ISO 9001 Quality Management System.

Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred; knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus.

Certified internal or external auditor credentials preferred.

Strong analytical skills and proficiency in statistical tools for quality analysis and process improvement.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with SAP Quality Management modules is a plus.

Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
