Business Development Manager- Elevator Division
The Business Development Manager – Elevator Division will play a critical role in identifying and cultivating new business opportunities, building a strong portfolio of target customers, and promoting the company's services across the market. This role offers a unique foundation-building opportunity, ideal for a driven professional eager to make a tangible impact on business growth.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Identify and help develop strategic relationships with partners and potential customers.
- Develop a strong pipeline of new customers and projects through direct or indirect customer contact and prospecting.
- Provide basic elevator consultation to customers by visiting job sites. Deliver customized products and solution recommendations based on client needs.
- Oversee job details throughout sales process, including managing contract documents, creating approvals and layouts and tracking to completion.
- Build relationships with local market vertical transportation consultants.
- Work with Marketing and Sales teams to implement business development initiatives, and to plan and attend events, tradeshows, webinars, presentations and conferences.
- Generate business through outbound lead activity and research companies to identify new prospects.
- Qualifying inbound leads and prioritize opportunities and mobilize the appropriate internal resources to help accelerate our sales cycles.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the company's broad range of service offerings.
- Effectively articulate our competitive differentiators and value proposition to both prospects and existing customers.
- Nurture prospects through in-person communication and entertainment efforts, and track activity in CRM database.
- Establish rapport and build strong relationships with all levels of stakeholders.
- Represent the company at networking functions.
- Perform building take-offs to obtain accurate footages and measurements for estimating.
- Prepare proposals and present project documentation to clientele for review and negotiation.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills / Abilities :
Proven skills in account development, opportunity qualification, pre-call planning, call structure / control, and time managementElevator industry experience highly preferredSelf-motivated with a diligent work ethicFlexible to travel to regional training courses and eventsHigh level of organization and time managementExcellent verbal and written communications skillsCan multi-task in a fast-paced environmentExcellent knowledge of MS Office, CRM software, PPT and quotation and presentation prep skillsPresentation skills for both in person and virtual meetingsOutstanding sales / negotiation skills and goal-orientated with strong time management and organizational skillsEducation and Experience :
Bachelor's Degree3-5 years sales experience in B2BElevator industry experience highly preferredPhysical Requirements :
