Police Officer - DCJS Certified

General Summary :

Performs general and specialized functions in preparing for and responding to emergency calls and providing support within the Police Department. Responsibilities include maintaining readiness for emergency situations and taking appropriate action.

Required Experience :

Minimum of 2 years of law enforcement or professional security experience, OR at least 60 college credits in a related field, OR 2 years of active-duty military experience, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

DCJS Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) Certification.

Must be 21 years of age or older.

Required Skills :

Working knowledge of law enforcement techniques to perform criminal and traffic investigations.

Ability to quickly analyze situations and determine the best course of action.

Proficient and safe in the use of firearms.

Maintain a high degree of confidentiality.

Perform assigned work with a positive attitude and professionalism.
