Rental Manager Trainee

Onsite in Portland, OR 97217 Schedule : Mon-Fri 6am-2 : 30pm

Though this program is designed to be completed in 18-24 months, there is opportunity to complete it in as little as 12 months. The incumbent will be assigned to operational and administrative tasks in support of location and regional management. Essential functions include handling the sales and process for inbound calls as well as outbound solicitation, maintaining current and accurate data within the company's marketing database, responsible for generating rental, lease and used vehicle sales leads, managing all rental asset processes to include Vehicle PM and cleanliness standards, meeting overall Ryder market share by successfully executing the sales and marketing initiatives, maintaining compliance with company, local, state, federal and other regulatory agencies, and reconciling all customer concerns, issues and disputes in order to maintain the ongoing relationships and grow the current customer base.

Additional responsibilities include performing the role of On-Call Representative on a voluntary basis as well as based on scheduling, and performing other duties as assigned.

Skills and abilities include strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment, high energy, self-motivated, self-directed person who is able to focus on multiple projects and activities simultaneously and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization, ability to work independently and as a member of a team, detail oriented with strong follow-up practices, a high degree of common sense and the aptitude to learn quickly, and ability to relocate in the region / US at the conclusion of the training program. Must be computer literate intermediate required.

Qualifications include a bachelor's degree required in business administration or similar related degree, one (1) year or more customer service with issues resolution experience preferred, and must be computer literate intermediate required.
