Job Description

UNIX Operations team is searching for a candidate proficient in LINUX (Red Hat). The ideal candidate must have 10+ years of systems administration experience and will support ~300 Linux servers . The role requires strong communication, problem-solving skills, organization, and attention to detail. Responsibilities include operational support of the Linux environment and OS patching.

• RHEL Linux 8 / 9 administration & patch management
• Linux server builds & custom configurations
• Performance tuning of Oracle database servers
• Server security & vulnerability management
• SolarWinds monitoring
• Ansible playbook development
• Ansible Automation Platform management & upgrades
• Satellite 6 management & upgrades
• VMware operational knowledge
• Automation experience
• Server migration experience
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Strong TCP / IP networking knowledge (topology & firewalled environments)

Unix / Linux Systems Engineer Responsibilities

Education

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent experience.
