Fountain Services is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Underground Superintendent to lead underground installation crews supporting our commercial and industrial projects in North and South Carolina. This role requires field leadership, hands-on capability, and technical expertise in underground utility work.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise underground electrical installation crewsInterpret and execute tasks based on electrical drawings and survey dataPlan layout and installation of same in accordance with job specificationsInspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards and defectsTest electrical systems and circuits using appropriate equipment and devicesConduct work in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC)Maintain high safety standards and ensure adherence to protocolsCommunicate project goals, timelines, and expectations clearly to the crewPerform job planning and maintain strong organizational controlRepresent the company professionally on job sites and with clientsOperate company vehicles safely; CDL preferredMinimum Requirements
10+ years of commercial / industrial electrical experience, with a focus on underground work as well as working with electrical contractor / subcontractors in a commercial or industrial construction environment2+ years of supervisory or crew leadership experienceHigh school diploma or GEDValid driver’s license (CDL preferred); must meet company vehicle eligibility standardsMust pass a mandatory drug screen and background checkAbility to work in physically demanding environments and varied climate conditionsMust be able to lift 50+ pounds and work in physically demanding constrution environmentPreferred Qualifications
Completion of an apprenticeship program or trade / technical school trainingExperience with ProCore and BlueBeamRelevant certifications or licensesFamiliarity with geospatial layout tools and construction layout techniquesExperience with concrete and general constructionExcellent communication, leadership, and organizational skillsStrong multitasking skills and ability to meet tight deadlinesPhysical Requirements
